13. Sinterklaas and acid colours under the sea

A secret sinterklaas present for a classmate. Inspired by her style and likes.

and this is progress on something inspired by the colors of a drawing by Tommi Musturi. Acid colours yeah~ The jellyfish and fish will return once I'm done with the backdrop

12. Bastet

For a school project about super heroes. This comic is the prologue and the hero is the cat. She's turned into a human by the Egyptian goddess Bastet (and no magically appearing clothing!). She will help the young woman from the first page.

At this size the text is too small to read, but no matter. The style shifts a bit between pages and it bugs me, but it'll have to do. There's also a reason why I designed Bastet with a cat mask instead of a cat head.

Post 9. 24 hour comics day

24 hour comics day comic! I went in without a plot and just went panel for panel. The only thing I had beforehand was ‘superhero couple’ and really quick designs for the main two. It’s drawn pretty badly, but hey it’s fast.

I was going to end it at page 19, but my classmates were like ‘noooo, you can’t end it all sweet and cuddly!’. Thus page 20 was born.

I could have easily made the 24 pages goal at the speed I made these pages, but my attention span is very, very short and I was constantly doing other things. Plus my energy, drive and ideas went down the drain around 5-6am.

Post 8. bloemen, kant en vogels.

Een kleine uitsnede van vooruitgang op de schets die ik een tijdje terug had gepost. Ik weet nog niet zo goed wat er met hun gezichten aan de hand is. Hmm. Teken ook nooit kant met de hand. Het is zeker geen pretje.

Een elektrolytische ets. Vervolgens ingekleurd met waterverf.
